Our
Philosophy

A NEW APPROACH

At Frisino, philosophy begins at home. Family and territory are the foundation of everything we create: a dialogue between heritage and innovation, where centuries - old tradition meets a contemporary vision. Each olive tree, each vine, each bottle is approached with care, study and dedication, reflecting our respect for the land and the people who cultivate it. What makes us different is our approach: we don’t simply follow tradition - we reimagine it. From the vineyard to the bottle, from production to design, we embrace new ideas while honoring heritage, creating wines and oils that capture the essence of Puglia with a contemporary, international vision. Guided by passion, precision and care, we reinterpret tradition without losing its soul, producing wines and oils that are both authentic and modern, rooted yet forward-looking. Frisino is a philosophy of connection, renewal and timeless quality, where family, land and vision converge in every bottle.

At Frisino, philosophy begins with family and territory. Heritage and contemporary vision exist in constant dialogue, shaping every choice we make. Each olive tree, each vine, and each bottle reflects care, respect for the land, and a thoughtful approach to craft. We don’t simply follow tradition - we reinterpret it, embracing new ideas in production and design while honoring our roots. The result is wines and oils that express Puglia with authenticity, elegance, and an international outlook.

Shaped by
Puglia

THE TERRITORY

Rooted in the heart of Puglia, where the Valle d’Itria unfolds in a mosaic of vineyards, olive groves, sun-drenched fields, trulli and masserias. The land itself shapes everything we do: limestone soils, fertile terrain and gentle Mediterranean breezes define the character of our olives and grapes, giving life to products that are both expressive and balanced. Here, centuries of agricultural tradition meet vast, open landscapes, stretching towards Taranto and its sea, a constant reminder of the region’s natural beauty and rhythms. Every row of vines, every olive tree, reflects a deep connection to this land: a dialogue between people, soil and climate that guides our hands and informs our vision. In Puglia, the territory is not just a backdrop, it is the heart of our identity, giving our products their unique sense of place.

The Wine Journey - The first harvest in 2018 marked the beginning of Frisino’s wine journey. The first wines were born with a clear purpose: to tell the story of Puglia through a new lens: contemporary, elegant, and fresh. Design became a voice, and international perspective met local identity, shaping wines that express the territory with clarity, balance, and modern refinement.

A New Beginning - In 2015, Flavia and Francesco proudly returned to Puglia to join and elevate their family business. After years of study and experience abroad, they brought with them a contemporary vision, an international sensibility, and a renewed aesthetic. With intention and care, tradition was reinterpreted, opening Frisino to new horizons while remaining deeply rooted in its origins.

Origins - Frisino was born in 1984 from the vision of Mario and Pina Frisino, as a family agricultural estate in the heart of Puglia. In its early years, the land was dedicated primarily to citrus groves, cultivated with patience and care, alongside olive trees and vineyards. These early years shaped a philosophy grounded in authenticity, dedication, heritage, hard work, and a deep-rooted rural tradition that continues to guide its identity today.

The Masseria

Masseria Vallenza stands as the soul of Frisino. Built in the 1700s in the countryside of Crispiano, within the land of the Cento Masserie, it is an icon of the estate and a quiet gem set within a landscape of ancient olive groves, vineyards, woodland, and Mediterranean scrub. At the foot of the Murgia and just moments from the Valle d’Itria, its historic architecture tells a story worth preserving and sharing. Soon to be transformed into a five-star boutique hotel, the Masseria will become an intimate retreat - an immersive place to experience agricultural life, nature, vineyards, and a contemporary vision of wellbeing. A refuge for those seeking to breathe, slow down, and truly live Puglia, inspired by its most pure and untouched soul.

Meet the
Family

Frisino, above all, is made of people. It is family, before anything else. Of hands that work the land, decisions shared around the same table, and knowledge passed on through daily gestures. From Mario and Pina to Francesco and Flavia, generations continue to care for the estate with the same attention and respect, guided by patience, responsibility, and a deep sense of belonging. A shared commitment that allows the land, the work, and the vision to grow and evolve naturally, season after season, rooted in continuity yet open to change.
